Report: Detroit Lions likely to face J.J. McCarthy vs. Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are next up on the Detroit Lions’ schedule, and they are currently fighting through some adversity. They’ve lost three of their last four games, have a laundry list of injuries—particularly on their offensive line, where they’ve been missing both starting tackles and their starting center for much of the season.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that sources tell him the Lions are activating linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez from injured reserve, and he will begin practicing this week. Known to many in the organization as “Rodrigo,” the key defender has been out of action since tearing his ACL in a Week 13 matchup against the Chicago Bears last season.
Detroit Lions don't have any 3rd-round picks in 2026 after trading up for Isaac TeSlaa, but they could receive a compensatory pick later in the draft.
