The October nor'easter has hit parts of Hampton Roads hard. In Virginia Beach, not only have residential areas been impacted by flooding, but some local businesses have seen issues as well. During peak high tide, the Back Deck restaurant on Shore Drive bore the brunt as water rose into the restaurant from the Eastern Branch of the Lynnhaven River.
Although a large nor’easter is moving its way offshore this afternoon, Hampton Roads residents will likely still deal with flooding on Monday.
As delays persist, our communities see more events such as this weekend, when even a relatively weak storm causes widespread problems.
