A judge determined Thursday that Jay-Z can file to dismiss the lawsuit accusing him and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a 13-year-old girl after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.

A motion by the legal team of Jay-Z has been granted a request to be allowed to file for a dismissal in his ongoing legal battle. The 55-year-old rapper – whose real name is Shawn Carter – has been accused of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards after party in 2000 along with Sean ‘ Diddy ’ Combs, which he has denied.

Jay-Z’s legal team has been granted a request to file for dismissal of a rape lawsuit. The 55-year-old rapper has been accused of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl, known as Jane Doe, at an MTV Video Music Awards after party in 2000 with Sean “Diddy” Combs.

After previously being denied the possibility to dismiss his Jane Doe sexual assault case with Diddy, JAY-Z has now been granted permission to file for a motion for dismissal, according to court records obtained by legal reporter Meghann Cuniff.
