Mikel Arteta has said that Arsenal are "very alert" in the January transfer market after the London club suffered a fresh injury blow with Ethan Nwaneri out for a "few weeks."

Arsenal have been dealt another injury blow after Mikel Arteta confirmed Ethan Nwaneri is facing a spell on the sidelines. Nwaneri suffered what Arteta has described as a “muscular injury” in Saturday 1-1 draw at Brighton. The teenager was forced off at half-time after scoring the opening goal and Arteta said after the game it was “bad news”.
