New York City health officials are expected to give an update Thursday on the deadly outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in Harlem that has killed three people and sickened nearly 100 since late July, as the latest patient counts suggest the numbers may be leveling off.

Health officials in New York City say an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in Central Harlem has grown to 90 cases, including three deaths.

Three people have died and at least 67 people have been diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease in a cluster that broke out in New York City last week.
