This New Yorker is getting his dander up over a reported mountain lion roaming Rochester. Curtis Jones said he has armed himself with a baseball bat after he spotted the big cat lurking around his block last week — and locked eyes with the beast as it slinked by and sent neighbors scattering.

ROCHESTER, New York (WABC) -- A witness is speaking out after a warning over a possible mountain lion sighting prompted a shelter-in-place order in Upstate New York. The elusive cat was reportedly spotted in Rochester on Wednesday sauntering down a street.

There may be a cougar roaming around Rochester, according to members of the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). News10NBC's Marsha Augustin visited the Beechwood neighborhood, where surveillance video captured what might be a cougar.
