The Pace softball team was not going to be denied again. The Patriots, after a 2-0 win over Bartow, claimed the FHSAA Class 6A state championship on Friday in Clermont.

Now Pace is looking to turn the page to a new chapter of Patriot softball, even though bringing new players up to speed hasn’t been all that difficult, according to seniors Abby McLean and Gonzales.
