In a statement shared with PEOPLE, a rep for Hailey Bieber says her $1 billion Rhode acquisition has nothing to do with her husband Justin Bieber's "business affairs" following his financial settlement with Scooter Braun.

An independent audit showed that Bieber still owed Hybe $26 million for the cancellation and an additional $11 million in back commissions, of which the artist agreed to pay half — bringing the total to $31.5 million.
