The New York Giants picked Jaxson Dart in Round 1, but proving he's a franchise quarterback stands between them and the rest of the division.

Wilson will start and run the offense while showing Dart how it's done, and Winston will help Dart navigate the pitfalls that come with acclimating to the league. Now satisfied with their quarterback situation, the Giants officially signed Jaxson Dart to his rookie contract on Friday.

Every starting quarterback has to start somewhere. The New York Giants traded back into Round 1 for the rights to draft Jaxson Dart as the class’ second quarterback. They did so with Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston signed in the six weeks prior.

But some of the signal callers who have seen limited preseason action and have still gone on to have success include Jared Goff of the Rams and Lions (34), Jayden Daniels of the Commanders (28), Jalen Hurts of the Eagles (17), and Lamar Jackson of the Ravens (10).
