Harvard University and the Trump administration are getting close to an agreement that would require the Ivy League university to pay $500 million to regain access to federal funding.

A divided panel of appeals court judges says the Trump administration can suspend or terminate billions of dollars of congressionally appropriated funding for foreign aid.

He warned of an example where an AI model tried to blackmail an engineer about an affair it learned about in an email.

"In the court's view, the irreparable harm to separating a nursing mother and her child is self-evident," the judge said.
