The Canadian Coast Guard conducts buoy tending by lifting buoys from the water to inspect their structure and mooring systems, often anchored in depths of 30 to 300 feet. Along British Columbia’s complex coastline, these maintained buoys are critical for safe navigation amid heavy marine traffic, fog, and rough conditions, guiding vessels to major ports.
