A super speedy cottage tour of moments of sunshine in our spring filled cottage. We don’t need to whisper “spring” any more! We can shout it from the rooftops…well, I mean I would but I suspect the thatch might give way… Instead I shall wander slyph-like through our awakening garden, pausing to inhale the emerging hyacinths and daffodils, running my fingers over the silken catkins and cursing my husband for emptying more wretched soil into the dips in the lawn. Reasons why I love my home. Just a tiny tour of some of the features of our 400 year old Farmhouse cottage that make my heart sing. The fields surrounding us, the old crumbly beams, our book wall, the Inglenook fireplace, Dame La Aga (never abbreviate the Dame), our secret staircase, the sloping wooden floors, the thatched roof and the centuries of families that have lived before us in this very magical place we are lucky enough to call home.
