Up close with a dwarf minke whale. (Video by @seajewlz) The minkes of the Southern Hemisphere are divided into two different subspecies, the dwarf minke and the Antarctic minke. Dwarf minkes are around 3-4 feet (1-1.2 m) smaller in length than the Antarctic subspecies. They might be "dwarfs" in the whale world, but are still about the size of a double decker bus, growing up to 26 ft (8 m) and 14,000 lbs (6 metric tons)! | Ocean Conservation Research - OCR
